What are the options for people who want to RP in Middle Earth?Well, at the moment the options are few and far between. I have seen a Games Workshop RPG in my local games store but I haven't played it. What have I played? The only game I have played is the LOTRs RPG put out by I.C.E. , which alas, Is out of print. You can find it on ebay and other sites for around twenty bucks. Is it worth it? Somewhat. for the RP it's great! But don't get all excited yet. The battle system REALLY lacks a structure. It's deffinetly not as good as the LOTR's battle game that games workshop put out but...in the long run the RP makes up for it. If anyone out there ahs played the GW RPG please e-mail me and let me know. I don't have many plots for ICE's game but I do have Dawn Comes Early. I enjoyed it but there is one serious problem. It just takes too long to play. I'd sit down with friends and 2 hours later we had only gotten through HALF the story. It just took to long to play. There are a couple of good closing scenes so that, should you need to quit, you can stop there. Another problem with this game system is that the Game Master is in a constant struggle to get the PCs to follow one of the path options in the book. It's just a little too difficult to keep it running smoothly,
